The Great Pumpkin Golf Tournament

October marked the first annual Great Pumpkin Memorial Golf Tournament in memory of Steve Damon, an avid golfer and supporter of the Ronald McDonald House. The name Great Pumpkin was given in honor of Steve. Each Sunday, Steve wore a bright orange shirt and soon was known as The Great Pumpkin around the golf course.
This past April Steve lost his battle with cancer, and in his honor, his family wanted to keep the spirit of the Great Pumpkin alive while supporting a local charity. The Ronald McDonald House was near and dear to Steve Damon, he believed in lending a helping hand to anyone who needed it, especially families going through a challenging time. Steve knew it was important for families to stay close, especially through the difficult times.
The Great Pumpkin Memorial Golf Tournament raised $3,296 for the Ronald McDonald House. This generous donation will ensure families and children will always be able to call the Ronald McDonald House, home.
